When It's Time to Move Out
Prior to receiving keys, the following steps must be completed:
Contact all utility providers and verify the last day of service is one day after the date you return your keys to Summit View Properties. You'll contact your property manager in advance to determine when/how you'll return your keys. The expectation is that this happens after the following move-out checklist has been complete.
MOVE-OUT CHECKLIST At the time of move out, this checklist used in the move-out inspection to determine the amount (if any) that may be withheld from the security deposit. Everywhere: Repair any and all nail or mounting holes in drywall (plaster, sand, paint) Dust the ceiling fixtures Dust all ledges Clean the windows Clean the door knobs and doors Clean all light switches and outlets Clean the walls and baseboards Vacuum all carpet thoroughly Clean up all cobwebs Bathrooms: Get soap scum off the bathroom tiles and tub/shower and bleach the grout Clean out the bathroom drawers and vanity, making sure you get all the hair out (and remove any liners) Clean the toilet, sink, countertop and floor (sweep and mop) If the toilet seat is unsavory looking, replace it Clean the mirrors Vacuum out the surface of the exhaust fan if super dusty Kitchen: Clean out all drawers, cabinets, and liners Wash the front of the cabinets Clean and disinfect all countertops Clean and shine up the sink and faucet Scrub the refrigerator inside and out - remove all shelves and clean separately if necessary Scrub the oven inside and out. Remove shelving, drip pans and burners Wash oven hood Clean microwave Clean out the dishwasher Sweep and mop behind/under fridge Bedrooms/Living Room: Dust, sweep, vacuum Garage, Shed and Outside: Garage should be completely empty and swept Cut the grass Pull the weeds Remove all of personal belongings that might be stuck in the ground or hanging in trees.
